SURF Break – Dive In! State Environmental Agencies Identify Research Needs

Last month, the Environmental Research Institute of the States (ERIS) released its report documenting the responses of state environmental agency leaders to a Fall 2024 survey. ERIS, an education and research nonprofit organization, issues the survey once every two years to identify key research priorities and support the EPA’s Office of Research and Development. Survey respondents included representatives from 46 states, two territories, and the District of Columbia. The survey design and process are described in the report, along with summaries of follow-up conversations with state environmental agency staff. Click here to access the report.
