Join us for important discussions about the nexus of energy and water use, conservation, and management in remediation projects.  Our host and keynote speaker will be Dr. Pedro Alvarez, Rice University Chair of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Call for Abstracts

SURF welcomes presentation and panel discussion proposals on topics such as:

  • Energy and water management at remediation sites
  • Remedy-produced water reuse opportunities
  • Cost-benefit analysis of water reuse and alternative energy use
  • Climate change impacts on water and energy resource management
  • Effects of climate change adaptation and resiliency plans on remediation
  • Resource management benefits resulting from sustainable sediment remediation or reuse practices
  • G/SR tool or guide review or applied case studies
  • Other topics exploring energy and water consumption and conservation in remediation projects
