SURVEY: Soil Functions and Services in Sustainable Remediation
The objective of this survey is to collect input on how to consider soil functions and services in Sustainable Remediation. The results will be presented at the International Workshop on Sustainable Remediation and Soil Functions and Services. The workshop takes place in Stockholm, Sweden, May 19, 2011.
This survey (and workshop) comes by way of the SNOWMAN-MCA (multi-criteria analysis) project, which includes partners from the Soil remediation Center North (MCN) at Umeå University in Sweden, the Forum for Risk Investigation and Soil Treatment (FRIST) at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden, and the Federal Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt) in Austria.
The SNOWMAN Network is a trans-national group of research funding organizations and administrations in Europe with the objectives to develop and share relevant knowledge for the sustainable use of soil and groundwater.
