Technical Initiatives Committee

SURF is currently engaged in several technical initiatives, including:

• Developing a consensus-based framework for sustainable remediation practices
• Fostering standardized sustainable remediation criteria and metrics
• Promoting consistency, transparency, and best practices for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
• Developing a "site of sites" database, an internet-based resource that will categorize and provide links to existing sustainable remediation resources and case studies
  
• Exploring the viability of a sustainable remediation site rating and professional certification system
• Working towards the integration of sustainable remediation and sustainable redevelopment
