Hello,
I am a recruiter with Battelle Memorial Institute and we searching for an Environmental Remediation Specialist for our Environmental Restoration and Infrastructure (ERI) Section within the Environmental Solutions Product Line. This product line provides innovative approaches to solving the challenges associated with site restoration. In particular, ERI specializes in optimization of remediation strategies and implementing green and sustainable remediation (GSR). This position is located in Columbus, Ohio but alternate locations can be considered.
A few highlights about the position are as follows: •Ideal candidate will have a bachelor degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science but an advanced degree is preferred. •5-10 years of experience in the environmental remediation field •Strong background in GSR, sustainability, and/or climate change, as demonstrated by conference presentations and/or journal publications. •Lead role in identifying, cultivating, and capturing business opportunities related to optimization, GSR, sustainability (e.g., remedy footprinting and footprint reduction), and climate change (e.g., water-energy nexus). •Manage environmental remediation and GSR projects, including the modification of the SiteWiseTM GSR tool. •Increase company visibility and scientific credibility in GSR by participating in scientific conferences (e.g., giving presentations and chairing sessions on GSR at Battelle technical conferences) and preparing journal publications. •Building relationships with internal and external clients through participation with industry technical working groups such as Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC) and Sustainable Remediation Forum (SURF). •Participate in internal R&D projects to increase technical capabilities, attract new business, or create new intellectual property.
