Hotel Recommendations:

SURF has not made any special arrangements with area hotels, but there are numerous hotels within walking distance of the meeting location.

Click here for a map of the meeting location and nearby hotels.

Group Dinner:

The group dinner at the end of the first meeting day is a SURF tradition.  The group dinner for SURF 17 will be at McCormick & Schmicks, 1103 First Avenue (at Spring Street).  We'll meet at the restaurant at 6:15 pm.

Dinner is anticipated to be $40 per person and reservations are made by selecting the 'Dinner' box on the meeting registration page.

Participants with special dietary needs should contact Mike Rominger.

Transportation Options:

The venue area is serviced by SeaTac airport.  There is a light rail station at the airport that is a 35 minute ride from downtown and costs $2.50 one way. Click here for the light rail website.

In addition, there are a number of shuttle services to downtown. Cabs to/from the airport will cost at least $40.  Be sure to ask to avoid surprises.

Public transit within the downtown area is free until 7:00 PM. There are multiple buses that run every few minutes up and down Third Avenue. You will not need a car to get around.

SURFers are very much encouraged to post their transportation needs and tips on this SURF meeting bulletin board!
